Description

The Arch of Costantine is located in front of the Roman Colosseum. It was built in 315 AD to celebrate the victory of Constantine over Maxentius. It was the biggest honorary arch built and placed on the Roman road used to celebrate battle victories. The Arch of Costantine has three arches in front with four Corinthian columns along the walls. About 25 meters up you can still see the statues of barbarian prisoners. The roman arch is a characteristic monument of the city.
