Description

St Peter in Chains Basilica is a minor basilica that was built in 1470 and houses St. Peter's chains and Michelangelo's famous Moses statue. According to legend, when the Pope held the chains that bound St Peter in Jerusalem next to the chains that bound him in the Mamertine Prison in Rome, they miraculously fused together.
