Description

Santa Maria in Vallicella, also called "New Church", is a church located close Corso Vittorio Emanuele. It was consecrated in 1599 and is the principal church of the "Oratory", a religious congregation of secular priests founded by St. Philip Blacks in 1561. The interior is very luxurious and contains frescoes by Pietro da Cortona.
