Description

The Church of St Gregory the Great on the Coelian, built on 12th century, is dedicated to Pope St Gregory the Great. The Church is also dedicated to St Andrew the Apostle and its full name is ‘St Andrew and Gregory the Great on the Coelian’. Pope Gregory the Great lived here as an abbot in a small monastery next to the Church and dedicated to St Andrew the Apostle.
