Description

The Basilica of Our Lady's in Trastevere, located in Trastevere District, is probably the first church in Rome dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the first church in Rome where Mass was celebrated openly. The history claims that it may have been built by Pope Calixstus in the 3th century. Inside the Our Lady's in Trastevere Basilica there is a wonderful 12th century gold mosaic.
