Description

The Church of St Mary in Domnica stands on ancient roman ruins and was built at the behest of Paschal I. Pope Leo X ordered the construction of the portico and of the facade of the roman church, in Renaissance style. The interior is very impressive, with beautiful mosaics and 18 columns, a prime example of the Carolingian period in Rome.
