Description

Palazzo Barberini, located in Barberini Square, is one of the most magnificent baroque buildings in Rome and houses the National Gallery of Ancient Art. Building began in 1627 by Carlo Maderno and was completed in 1633 by Bernini. On the first floor there is a collection of paintings from the 13th to the 16th centuries. Many visitors come to the National Gallery of Ancient Art just to see the magnificent Caravaggio paintings, including that of Narcissus.
