Description

Located between Barberini Square and Church of Trinità dei Monti, the Sistina Theater was designed by Piacentini in 1946 and opened three years later. The roman theater is one of the most important and representative Italian theaters that derives its popularity from the managers Giovannini and Garinei. It has hosted great artists and popular musicals: from Louis Armstrong to Burt Bacharach, from Liza Minnelli to Dionne Warwick to Woody Allen, from West Side Story to Rugantino, from Evita to Roman Holydays. Since March 2003, the Sistina Theater was recognized by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture as the Theater of Italian Musical Comedies. The Sistine Theater presents a mix of Italian and foreign innovative shows. For programming and theater tickets visit the website.
