Nero: The Emperor

From April 12 to September 18, 2011 Rome is hosting the exhibition dedicated to the life of the last emperor of Julio-Claudian dinasty.

The exhibition is organized by the Colosseum, Roman Forum and the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome and plans to revisit the figure of Nero, and enhance the news about two aspects of the kingdom: the fire that destroyed most of the city in 64 AD, and consequent policy of reconstruction initiated by the emperor in Rome from 64 to 68 AD. The exhibition will be held in places of ancient Rome, thereby creating a direct relationship with the places in which it lived and Nero intervened both before and after the fire.
