Free museums in Rome: "Martedì in Arte"

Tuesday, December 27, 2011 MIBAC proposes another extraordinary and free opening to the public of some Romans museums.

The initiative "Martedì in Arte 2011" ("Tuesday Art in 2011") aims to promote art, culture and leisure in Rome, allowing visitors access from 7.00pm to 11.00pm. Admission to museums is free!



Some of the participating museums, inviting visitors to leave at 10.30pm.






Diocletian Baths
Via Romita, 8 - Rome (RM)
At the National Museum of Rome - Baths of Diocletian than opening free of charge, from 19.00 to 23.00, there will be a guided tour with readings from the Roman literary tradition. Ticket booking at the time of the visit (max 30 people)


Crypta Balbi
Via delle Botteghe Oscure 31 - Rome (RM)
National Museum of Rome - Crypta Balbi. Free opening and guided tour from 7.00pm to 11.00pm. Ticket booking at the time of the visit (max 30 people)


Roman National Museum - Palazzo Massimo alle Terme
Largo di Villa Peretti, 1 - Rome (RM)
National Museum of Palazzo Massimo alle Terme.  Free opening and guided tour from 7.00pm to 11.00pm. Ticket booking at the time of the visit (max 30 people)


Palazzo Altemps
Via di S. Apollinare, 44 - Rome (RM)
National Museum of Rome - Palazzo Altemps. Free opening and guided tour from 7.00pm to 11.00pm. Ticket booking at the time of the visit (max 30 people)


 Piazza della Rotonda - Rome (RM)
 At 9.30pm there will be a free guided tour.
